Moonshine – A New Poem

Some of you may already know (I hope) that I recently published my first collection of poetry titled Scattered Light, thanks to Nevermore Press. If you haven’t already, please do check it out. I’ve since written some new works, which I will be sharing here over the next week or so, starting today. If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, then you may have already seen these.

Until night bestows moonshine
upon the magically starved
I will wander hopeless.
I will wander empty.

Until morning gives light
to a suffering horizon
I will lie awake.
I will lie wasted.

But when your light glints
upon the budding morn
I can be born anew
and bask in the warmth of your blaze.

And when your moonshine flows
into the shadows of my weary gloom
I will lie with wide eyes no more
and rest in the aftermath of your glow.
